Overview
MediaPipe Pose tracks body landmarks from a webcam; a trained classifier labels each frame as an up or down stage, so any up/down exercise is counted in real time. An open palm toggles counting on and off.
Why it exists
Counting reps by hand breaks your focus. The camera can do it if it understands the stage of the movement, not just the pose.
My part
- Pose landmarks to classifier to stage machine to rep count, with a CustomTkinter dashboard and gesture control.
How it works
- a
Camera
Live webcam frames.
- b
Landmarks
MediaPipe Pose keypoints.
- c
Stage
Classifier labels up or down.
- d
Count
Stage transitions become reps.
